the bertin wedding | pt.1

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that this might be one of my favourite weddings ever…Tommy and Erika are the most laid back, go with the flow, no stress, up for anything couple I have ever dealt with. The entire day was so relaxed and everything went off without a hitch. Everything from the Lego inspired invitations (that Tommy painted himself!), to the favours, to the location, it was all the most perfect setting.

I have really enjoyed getting to know these two beautiful people and look forward to watching them grow together in marriage.

Mommy & Me Connection Session – Amy | Salmon Arm Photographer
My sweet friend Amy and I have made somewhat of a tradition taking photos under stressful situations haha. Last year when we did these minis she was on her way to Seattle and waited until after our session to drive there from Salmon Arm, at 9pm! This year she had just picked her boys up from their dad in Chase 15 min before our session started, after driving all the way from Portland, making it just in time for the last little bit of the days light. They had been away from Amy for about a week so this session was full of cuddles and love for their momma.
Jayme – 6 months | red deer family photographer
Sweet Jayme is 6 months and since Aislinn was still pretty unsure of her new sister when we did Jayme's newborn photos, we decided to focus mostly on their connection for this one. These two were in such good moods on Sunday and I am so happy I got to see such genuine interactions between them. Towards the end of the session, little Jayme slipped down and bumped her head on the arm of the couch and was notably upset. The last shot is probably one of my favourites shots ever. A loving tender moment between mother and daughter, that little tear just kills me....
here’s to 2014 | red deer family photographer
As 2014 dwindles to an end, i've spent the last few weeks cataloging and backing up all my sessions from this year...I couldn't help but feel so incredibly grateful for each and every one that has invited me in and trusted me to tell their families story. I've been shown such love being around these families and am forever thankful for these experiences. Photographers say so often how much they love their job and that their clients are the greatest...i'm no different but I consider these people friends and family... 1000 thank you's, "here's to the good you've found, and the great that awaits"
