to say these women are inspiring would not be doing them any justice, I can’t even articulate how much I cherish these relationships.
In august of last year I saw a post from a photographer that I had been following for a while that said she would be putting on a workshop in Asheville, NC. I immediately got butterflies and called up my husband to get the a-ok (he was in Europe at the time haha) We agreed that even though it was over our anniversary, it would be an incredible experience for me to learn and work with a mentor. That mentor was, Joy Prouty of Wildflowers Photography. I had big expectations for this workshop but I had no idea the impact it would have on, not only my professional career but my personal life as well. Each and every women that attended has become a friend…no, wait….a soul sister.
In August I saw another post saying Joy would be holding another workshop but this time in Tennessee. We joked that it would be funny if all of us attended again. The joking subsided and we decided that we would have a little rennin with the Asheville group and a few women from Joy’s Round Up, TX workshop. Alissa Saylor took the reins and found us the CUTEST little house in Leiper’s Fork, TN…and by cute, I mean stink in’ adorable! We met up with Joy after her workshop for some Line Dancing, BBQ and heart to heart conversation. We hung out at Moonshine Hill where Joy hosted her workshop, had a Christmas Gift Exchange, talked about life, struggles, triumphs, relationships and love. I am so incredibly thankful to Joy for bringing us all together.
Moonshine Hill….this place is incredible! The most adorable stone house, a quant little tree house built around an old oak tree, guest house and a gazebo over looking the pond
….all decorated to the tee for this Christmas Season
Dirty Santa ;)
Of course Lindsey had to pick Joy’s present, which was obviously a quilt…..turning the game into a fight to the death.
