Kelly Family | Banff Family Photographer

GIVE ME ALL THE TEENS PLEASE! I do normally photograph families with smaller children and honestly, teenagers have always scared the shit out of me but this fall I had so many inquires from families with older children and in every single email they all said something along the lines of “I know you don’t typically photograph older children but we just haven’t had any photos done as a family since….such and such was a baby”, and it honestly broke my heart. For one, I will absolutely photograph your family no matter what the age! and secondly, friends, get those photos….please, I urge you to book, these are moments you will want to look back on and cherish once your little (or not so little) ones have moved on and out of your nest. So if you’re reading this and are now realizing that it has been years since you’ve been photographed as a family, please email me.

Let’s take the photos today that you will want tomorrow.

mishael & elijah | mother & son connection session | salmon arm photographer
I have known Mishael since high school and was so very excited when she responded to my mother & son connection session in Salmon Arm back in July. Her son Elijah is honestly one of the most adorable little men I have ever photographed. He is so kind and friendly and you can just see how loved he is by these photos <3 You will also see ol' Baxter. He's on his last legs so we made sure to include him in the photos. Thank you again Mishael, it was so lovely to see you again!

paquette family | red deer family photographer
This past Sunday, I was invite into the home and hearts of the Paquette family - a family that could have easily been my own. Extended family sessions are not typically something that I take on but I felt this pull and need to say yes. Every family is faced with tough news at some point, and for the Paquette family, that time is now. With the patriarch, Ray, having surgery in the very near future, they are holding these moments a little closer to their hearts. I arrived to a house of crazy cousins, (much like how my cousins and I were when we gathered during the holidays) butter tarts, inside jokes and even a few break dancers. It had only ...
