I have been dying to photograph a lovely family in Kananaskis Country for a very long time and was elated when Suzanne booked her session. This place is incredible....well honestly, anywhere in the rockies is incredible but this place doesn't hold back. When I was scouting early in the afternoon, I tried to remember a few spots we spied from a couple years and totally got tricked by one of them haha. The first location was supposed to be by the river and looked identical to the place we saw a couple years ago, but when we actually got down there it definitely was not. Maja contacted me via facebook about a month ago asking if I could help her out. She had recently renovated her home and wanted some family photos to match her new decor. Her and her husband, Josh, love Mad Men and wanted a shoot to accentuate the mid-centery modern style. I will admit, it's a little out of my comfort zone but I accepted the challenge and was super happy with the results. "I'd rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies". True friends are hard to come by and I am grateful to have met this one in the summer of 1996. Brett is one of my oldest friends and even though we only see each other a few times a year, it's like we never skipped a beat. I love this lady and her boys so very much....so much so, that I can proudly say how incredibly jealous I am of their farm!
