red balloons for ryan

About a week ago I heard – as many others did – about sweet little 3 1/2 year old Ryan from California. Tragically Ryan was struck by a truck while playing at his cousins house and was killed. His mom Jacqui, is a mommy blogger and the community has wrapped their arms around her and her husband Dan, rallying to raise money and send some healing comfort to them in this incomprehensibly difficult time. Jacqui’s best friend Alissa asked that this mother’s day, everyone send a red balloon to Ryan….and so we did, from the tippy top of the Rockies. Below is a photo from Jacqui’s Instagram of her and her husband, Dan sending some balloons to their little man…. my heart just aches for them.

I try not to make resolutions or focus too much on what "needs to be fixed" this time of year...Instead I try to think of something that I would love to look back on; a summary of sorts. To the point where I would get incredibly stressed out thinking I would not be leaving something tangible for my boys to read in the future. But it occurred to me about a month ago while in Nashville with some amazing colleagues, that I am documenting. In my own little way....I can tell anyone what I, ...
