Mommy & Me Connection Session – Chelsea | Salmon Arm Photographer

Chelsea and her crew came all the way from Kelowna for their mini session and they came prepared! Hair, make up, custom dresses, the whole package! Chelsea’s little girl had a custom dress made from an amazing local designer (Nook Designs) that were made with 100 year old bone beads that were given to her from a tribe on the island (if I remember correctly!). These were paired with custom shorts for her sweet little man and everything just came together perfectly! Chelsea’s dress is actually made by a designer in Victoria (Reclamation) out of old lace from a curtain, seriously gorgeous.

There is something to be said about a family that fully supports and sticks with your from the beginning. The Grose family is that family....I honestly don't even know how many shoots i've had the privilege of doing for them but I can say that I love each one just a little bit more than the last. Watching families grow together is so inspiring, seeing connections made (or not made lol) between siblings, seeing their family dynamic first hand is really something else. Thank you again Martina & Chad....you guys are pretty awesome

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such strong, beautiful women. Kat and Lyndsey have known each other since grade 7....although Kat thought Lyndsey was a mean girl at first, and after two years of fear they started a life long friendship ;). The kind of friendship everyone wishes to have. Kat's husband Aaron owns Crop Hair Boutique here in Red Deer, and is known around town as the Hair Whisperer, something I can attest to, I won't let anyone else touch my hair haha. On Friday, the 23rd the day after their family session, Lyndsey made her way with Kat to the salon. Coffee's in tow, they discussed hair styles for her new do.After agreeing on ...

I had the honour of photographing a truly inspirational family the other evening. Jordana, Adam and Rachel have been through some tough times the past year. After losing their three year old daughter Sarah to cancer in the fall, they've spent the past 7 months grieving and celebrating the time they had with their sweet little girl. I am humbled to have been asked to document their family and I only hope this is a small step forward for them. This session is about surrounding each other in love and taking solace in the present. A word from Sarah's mom Jordana: "In that final week I began to see what it meant to live life in the moment. I ...
