here’s to 2014 | red deer family photographer

As 2014 dwindles to an end, i’ve spent the last few weeks cataloging and backing up all my sessions from this year…I couldn’t help but feel so incredibly grateful for each and every one that has invited me in and trusted me to tell their families story. I’ve been shown such love being around these families and am forever thankful for these experiences. Photographers say so often how much they love their job and that their clients are the greatest…i’m no different but I consider these people friends and family…

1000 thank you’s,

“here’s to the good you’ve found, and the great that awaits”

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this might be one of my favourite weddings ever...Tommy and Erika are the most laid back, go with the flow, no stress, up for anything couple I have ever dealt with. The entire day was so relaxed and everything went off without a hitch. Everything from the Lego inspired invitations (that Tommy painted himself!), to the favours, to the location, it was all the most perfect setting. I have really enjoyed getting to know these two beautiful people and look forward to watching them grow together in marriage. The Family Narrative | International Family Photographer
Back in the spring of last year, I was contacted by my sweet friend Posy Quarterman about speaking at this new workshop put on by four pretty fantastic boss ladies that focused SOLEY on the genre of family photography. After suffering with the stigma that family photography was not viewed as important as other genres (i.e.. weddings) and being told by their peers that photographers that only shoot family's would never be able to make the money that wedding photographers make, they decided to push back and create something that nobody has. They want to empower us, to let people know that yes, we ARE worth it and family photography IS worth eve ...
