A Farewell Story | Red Deer Family Photographer
I first told the story of my dear friends Kat & Aaron's big move to Salt Spring Island back in May and now I have had the honour of telling Kat's parents story. Their farm has been in the family since 1905 (home to 5 generations) and they have recently made the tough decision to sell their property - closing date was today! - to make the same move that Kat did. It was a bitter sweet day filled with stories, jokes, chocolate, tears and horses. Kat's brother and sister made the trip up from Vancouver just to say one final goodbye to the place they grew up. Learning to Love | The Watt Family
I have such an incredible opportunity to tell the stories of the ones that I love. The ones that inspire me on a daily basis and that truly just make my life better. Today is no exception. Lyndsey is fighting a hard fight but her positivity is radiant and no matter what is put in front of her, she faces it with strength and courage. Last May, I photographed Lyndsey and her family at the beginning of her battle, after a year of treatment they received some unfortunate news. The cancer has spread but she is still fighting hard and won't let anything stop her. Please check out her blog for a bit more of her story and where her health is ...

I had the honour of photographing a truly inspirational family the other evening. Jordana, Adam and Rachel have been through some tough times the past year. After losing their three year old daughter Sarah to cancer in the fall, they've spent the past 7 months grieving and celebrating the time they had with their sweet little girl. I am humbled to have been asked to document their family and I only hope this is a small step forward for them. This session is about surrounding each other in love and taking solace in the present. A word from Sarah's mom Jordana: "In that final week I began to see what it meant to live life in the moment. I ...

A New Chapter | Red Deer Family Photographer
I have a sad heart but butterflies in my stomach for my dear friends Kat, Aaron and their sweet little girl, Abby. They sold their house and are making the big move to Vancouver Island! I was lucky enough to follow them around while they said goodbye to the house they brought their daughter home to, packed up the last of the pictures off the wall, and bid farewell to Alberta. To fully tell the story of their move I also took video...please take a look :) I am elated to be diving more and more into videography and happy to announce that I will be offering this to all my clients as an addition to my top packages :) one week lat ...
