aliesha & ryan | emerald lake elopement

Aliesha and Ryan’s intimate elopement at Cathedral Mountain Lodge was a DREAM – seriously, if you’re looking for a gorgeous place to elope in the mountains, they offer an amazing package! And I would love to photograph it, of course ;) – Cozy cabins, close family, and the most perfect parting of rain clouds for their ceremony (it seriously rained the entire morning and stopped just for the ceremony and formals – talk about lucky!)

I immediately clicked with these two when we first met in November 2015. Aliesha is a budding photographer (who recently took my Embracing the Chaos Class and is KILLING it) that is also introverted like me, so we were meant to work together haha. We bonded over our love for dogs and photography. She is a gem and Ryan is just the sweetest guy. They are definitely made to be together.

There is something to be said about a family that fully supports and sticks with your from the beginning. The Grose family is that family....I honestly don't even know how many shoots i've had the privilege of doing for them but I can say that I love each one just a little bit more than the last. Watching families grow together is so inspiring, seeing connections made (or not made lol) between siblings, seeing their family dynamic first hand is really something else. Thank you again Martina & Chad....you guys are pretty awesome

Back in October I attended a workshop in Asheville, NC held by the one and only Joy Prouty of Wildflowers Photography...a photographer that I have been follow through the years and am completely inspired by. When she announced that she would be having her workshop in Asheville, there was no question...I was going. I did have to phone my husband, while he was over in Europe, to bat my eyes (over the phone, yes lol)  and make sure it was ok if I went, as it fell on our 3 year anniversary. "it's just a day babe, we have many more anniversaries to celebrate, go." << My husband is the greatest man around Beryl, Kenny and their adorable litt ...

A New Chapter | Red Deer Family Photographer
I have a sad heart but butterflies in my stomach for my dear friends Kat, Aaron and their sweet little girl, Abby. They sold their house and are making the big move to Vancouver Island! I was lucky enough to follow them around while they said goodbye to the house they brought their daughter home to, packed up the last of the pictures off the wall, and bid farewell to Alberta. To fully tell the story of their move I also took video...please take a look :) I am elated to be diving more and more into videography and happy to announce that I will be offering this to all my clients as an addition to my top packages :) one week lat ...
