A New Chapter | Red Deer Family Photographer

I have a sad heart but butterflies in my stomach for my dear friends Kat, Aaron and their sweet little girl, Abby. They sold their house and are making the big move to Vancouver Island! I was lucky enough to follow them around while they said goodbye to the house they brought their daughter home to, packed up the last of the pictures off the wall, and bid farewell to Alberta.

To fully tell the story of their move I also took video…please take a look :)

I am elated to be diving more and more into videography and happy to announce that I will be offering this to all my clients as an addition to my top packages :)

February is also Heart Month!  Becoming a heart family has been the most stressful and rewarding experience of my life. Connecting with each and every one of the families we have met in the hospital and through social media have had in incredible impact on our lives. Feb 7-14 is Congenital Heart Defect Week and we will be wearing red every day! 1 in 100 babies are born with a CHD and we are so thankful that Hudson's was caught while I was still pregnant. Thank you to any and everyone that has followed Hudson's journey, you have no idea how much your support means to us <3

The day of her session, she picked up her boys in Salmon Arm from their Dad in the afternoon, after driving all the way from Calgary, and patiently waited until their session at 7pm. I knew she had plans for a holiday in Seattle but didn't realize she was continuing the journey right after our session....Amy, you are crazy lol So we finished up quick (around 8pm) and before the boys knew it they were all done and off for an adventure to Seattle to see their aunt and uncle.  They arri ...

red deer lifestyle photographer ➾ what I am thankful for
I am thankful for many things. This life has thrown me some curve balls this year and it took some self reflection to really realize how beautiful this little life of mine is. Firstly, I am thankful for my husband. He is the most selfless, inspiring man I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He has sacrificed so much and worked so hard for his family and did so without any hesitation. I am absolutely  in awe of him and and his passion for his craft. I only hope one day to be admired by my peers like he is by his. Secondly, my boys. Jensen, you are my wild child. So free and fearless, I know you will do great things and will do them with ...
