This week has been a tough one with my little Jensen. Pushing boundaries and seeing how far he can take certain situations, talking back and being utterly defiant. It's been a struggle but I am trying my hardest to kill him with kindness so to speak and not resorting to giving "time outs" like I used to in the past (clearly not working anymore) Instead offering solutions based on options. i.e.. instead of  "eat your dinner or you're going right to bed", I offer him a choice - "Would you like to stay here and eat your dinner or would you like to go straight to bed?" It takes his train of thought from, 'this is what I want to do' to 'these are ...

Year End Goodness 2017
2017 brought some very incredible clients my way and I will forever be grateful for their trust in me to create images for them to share with their families for years and years to come. I'm not really sure how to describe the love I have for my eldest son's Kindergarten teacher; Teacher Silvanna. She has the most kind heart and Jensen thrived under her care and attention last year. When she asked if I could photograph her brood I could not say no, even though older teens/ young adults is not something that I shoot all that often, these three were such a blast to hang out with. Silvanna is the kindy teacher at Wonderflow School House here in Red Deer. Waldorf education is something that I feel so strongly about and we are excited to be starting an initiative to start a K-5 Waldorf School (Woodland Grade School) right he ...
